Nokia Music PC App Graduates

by Clinton Jeff

The Nokia Music PC application just graduated out of beta yesterday.  Its now at version 1.0 .

Nokia Music lets you search, organise and listen to you music collection easily in one place; whether from your PC, mobile devices, CDs, or Nokia Music Store

The release was announced over on Nokia's Beta Labs and you can download the application from the Nokia Music site. If you've already used the previous Betas though, they've advised you to wait until the application notifies you about an automatic update to version 1 in the coming weeks.

I'm a little bit skeptical about this application. Its at version 1 and its still pretty sluggish, there's still no support for custom playlists (or auto-updatable smart playlists for that matter) and  you cant really do anything with podcasts , all of which gives me to reason to switch over to it from iTunes. And believe me, I WANT to switch over from iTunes. Right now, without these basic features, its just another music sorting application in my opinion.

Come on Nokia ! You're going to have to step it up a bit if you want people to actually use this one.
