Golden iPhone 3G on the horizon...

Yes, you read it right. A luxury warehouse, 'de bijenkorf' (eng. 'the beehive'),  in the Netherlands is going to sell golden iphones coming tuesday. Unknown if it is gold, goldplated or simply painted.  Most likely it will be the 24 karat version of goldstriker in the UK.

Also it is still unknown if the iPhone will be banned in the Netherlands and perhaps in other European countries due to its internal battery design (read this earlier post for details). Apple currently saids the rules allow the current iPhone and iPod designs. Looks like they want a showdown with the dutch goverment. Looks like things will be getting interesting over here.

Anyway there is still time to catch an early flight to the Netherlands!
