Windows Live Mobile Client for Nokia Hits the US!

by Darla Mack

winlive - Share on Ovi Last year, Windows Live Mobile became available for Nokia users... but not for all regions.

As of today, 7 new areas have been made available for many Nseries and Eseries devices.  Hungary, Iceland, India, Israel, Poland, Romania and the USA.  Users can find the application in their download folder under Apps > Mail and IM.

Eseries.org reports having it work on the E51 and I've succesfully installed it to my N95 8GB NAM.  One thing that concerns me thought is if there will be a charge or not.  I remember when the app first became available on Nokia's China site there was a 2 month trial followed by a fee.  Let's hope for the best!

I don't know whether you've been given the same warning over there, but here in the UK the app warns us that they will be charging eventually, but they'll give a 30 day warning before they start.

Personally I find the application to not really be worth any charge they come up with. Gizmo from the beta labs works much better for instant messaging and hotmail is basically a junk e-mail for most of us due to non existant spam filtering.
