It's been quite some time now that Widsets has been in beta. But we are counting down to the release of the new revamped website.
Some updates include:
- New "Explore" feature with dynamic search capabilites
- Updated widget creation tools that are eastier and quicker to use and have more personalized possibilities such as icons
- Mobile dashboard sharing - through user profiles they can select to share dashboard and allows community to see what others are using
- Widget rating system
For all you Widgeteers, go check your Widsets inbox for an important message regarding the update... or just read below.
Hi WidSeteers,
WidSets Team has been busy lately to revamp the service! We have been redoing the whole thing: database, software, web pages and mobile client. And next week we will be bringing it all alive for you!
On Tuesday 23 October, we will close the old system, and start ramping up the new one. The migration will take some time and we are assuming a service break for Tuesday. You will get an upgrade of your WidSets client on your phone when you log in the first time after migration. Your old username and dashboard will remain, only the order of widgets could be a little bit different, but the dashboard can be easily rearranged by logging in at www.widsets.com.
If you have any problems, please tune into our Forum at the website, where we will be posting helpful tips or ask any questions you like.
See you soon!
WidSets Team
Just wanted to say I've enjoyed your blog via Widsets for a few months now. I'm a mobile tech addict myself and regularly blog about it, amongst other things. I use Opera Mini for my main web access and the Opera community site because its easier for me. You've got a great blog here and I look forward to reading more in future.

Great header but the new column design is terrible. I have two columns on the right. It really looks like overkill. Double commercials next to each other... ugh... One is actually flashing me! On a smaller screen the columns really take the fun out of the screenwidth.

I haven't yet been able to successfully download and install the new widsets clients... why who knows, but it is frustrating. Originally it was giving me some error about something being bad, and now it just refuses to get it.
