We knew it was coming! AllAboutSymbian informs that Symbian has announced the Nokia N95 for the North American market.
San Francisco, USA – September 10, 2007 – Symbian Limited today welcomes the launch of the new North American optimized Nokia N95 multimedia computer based on S60 and Symbian OS™.
This new Nokia N95 offers North American 3G/HSDPA/UMTS compatibility while retaining all the award-winning functionality of the existing Nokia N95. In addition, a number of new product upgrades have been added including: assisted GPS (A-GPS) for faster navigational fixes, 124MB of RAM to complement the included 1GB microSD memory card and the 160MB internal memory, and a higher capacity battery for extended operating time.
The Nokia N95 is expected to start shipping in September to a growing number of independent retailers in major markets including New York, Los Angeles, Miami and San Francisco, as well as the Nokia Flagship Stores in New York and Chicago.
The Nokia N95 will also be available from Nokia’s online store (www.nseries.com) and multiple online retailers with an estimated retail price of $699.
OK I've owned an N80, N95 and E90 and right now I use an E61i ... Nokia is going to have a hard time competing with the iphone at that price point.

I wonder if Nokia will give me a $100 store credit for being an early adopter of the N95. Oh well, at least the pain is diminished a bit by the lack of 3g support for t-mobile (my carrier). But more operating RAM would sure be sweet.

I own this phone right now.. I won it through the S60 Agent NYC program.. All I can tell you its simply the best.
The only drawback was they shipped us the old battery, they said the BL6F is not available yet..
All in all its a super powerhouse phone.. Tested the 3G today here in NYC I got like 1166kbit/sec means 1.1mbps..
