Nokia Xpress Print Service Now Available in Europe
by Darla Mack
I was chatting with someone yesterday who told me that they had this new folder/icon in their Download! menu that said Xpress Print. At the time we didn't know what it was for. Not to mention that when I refreshed my menu it didn't appear.
Today Nokia announced the launch of Xpress Print services in Europe. Some may find the option to install the app from their Download! folder. If it doesn't appear there it can also be downloaded from the Nokia Xpress Print Site.
The mobile printing service is accessible from the Gallery menu. Just select the images that you would like printed, insert the address of where you would like the prints shipped to and press 'Order Now'. The order is processed by CeWe Color and your prints are delivered to the address that you entered.
This would be cool if it were available in the US. That would work great if they teamed up with Kodak Mobile. But as of now, the US isn't included in this breakthrough.
"Remember when you had to drag yourself to the store to have your film developed?" asks Mikko Pilkama, director, Multimedia, Nokia. "Now you can order prints directly from your Nokia Nseries device, and have them delivered to your doorstep - hassle-free!"
Supported handsets include: N73, N73ME, N93, N93IE, N76, N95 and N80IE
Cool - I've just uploaded ten photos from my trip to the Glastonbury Festival.
Had a 'processing' email from Nokia too.
Will let you know how it goes!
:o)
