Nokia N75 Finally Available on Cingular.com

by Darla Mack

After the long long long (have I mentioned... long) wait for the first 3G Nokia for the US, Cingular finally has it available on Cingular.com (be sure to edit the zip code to reflect your area, since its not available in all area's online).  True to the rumors, the price is $199.99 after $50.00 mail-in rebate and 2 year contract sign up.

EDIT:  As quickly as it was available, the N75 is "Temporarily Sold Out" on the website.  I had an interesting discussion with one of my readers and come to find out that the N75 "might" be considered for handset insurance, since the retail price is under $300.  I guess this means that like the 6682, the N75 isn't considered a Smartphone according to Cingular/AT&T's standards.

Oh, decisions...decisions. Do I buy this now, since its the only nokia phone with 3g or do I wait and see if the rumored 3g version of the N95 will have been neutered by the removal of WiFi?

I got that SMS from the Cingular Corporate store manager:

Ok...just talked 2 the iventory rep 4 us and he said by the 2nd week of May we should hv the Nokia. No word on insurance yet. XXXXXXX w/Cingular
