Nokia 8600 "Luna" Approved by FCC

by Darla Mack

Nokialuna3_2 Engadget Mobile reported that the Nokia 8600 "Luna" was approved by the FCC.  I received some images of what is said to be the initial proto of the device.

Still in all it seems to be a nice phone... except for the fingerprint magnet concept.

The Nokia 8600 is said to have GSM 850 and 1900 plus EDGE and seems to be a slider-version of the popular 8800.

Thanks NokiaFan!

I really think this should be a 6000 series. Having a translucent plastic casing and rubber finish doesn't seem to be up to the stainless steel and titanium (as well as exclusive themes) that Nokia has used for the 8000 series in the past.
