The N99 Buzz

by Darla Mack

N99_patentIt seems that during N95 week, which is this week if you haven't noticed, there seems to be more Nxx news floating around.  Now that we've settled the issue over the N81 lets move onto the talked about N99.

Remember back in January when we first heard of the rumored N99?  Well its back with information of Nokia filing for a patent for a device carrying the same rumored specs.  I honestly can't see Nokia calling this the N99.  Usually when you use the camera on a proto device and upload it to Flickr the camera type would list as either Nxx or N99.  But hey, I'm no expert.

The specs, as you recall include 9 way front joystick button, 16GB FLASH internal memory, up to 4GB mini SD slot, 16:9 3.2″ wide screen, GPS, MP3, DIVX XVID MPEG AVI video reading, WLAN WIFI, qwerty pad, 8MP camera, 3CCD 720 pixel wide 30fps video capture.
