Nokia E65 Spotted
by Darla Mack
Stefan reports the pics and info on a new Eseries device. Not sure if this is one of the devices that will be shown at CES next week.
Specs shown on MobilMania.sk reveal that the S60 slider is Quadband GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900, WCDMA 2100 MHz. I took a chance at trying to translate the specs box and this is what I came up with.
Body: Slider
Dimensions: 106 x 47 x 14 mm, Open 137 x 47 x 14mm
Connectivity: GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900, WCDMA 2100 MHz
Connectivity: IrDA, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, CSD, HSCSD, Pop-Port (USB 2.0)
Operating System: Symbian S60
Battery: BL-5F
Photography: 2 Mpx with Autofocus
Price: 340 EURO
Availability: Q2/Q3 2007
Not exactly word for word according to the chart, but I'm sure you get the point. A search on Google revealed more documentation on this device names the E65-1.
Pretty cool, though this whole Nseries/Eseries divide is starting to get a little silly around the edges now.....

Now that's a much sexier slider than the n80... much thinner it looks like, with a better keypad.

Handset does not have autofocus or iRDA
very well constructed handset.... feels similar to 6288 but more professional :)

No flash though... And probably no macro mode!
Otherwise I'd consider replacing my N80 with it - having owned a Sony Ericsson W800i, the importance of auto-focus cannot be overlooked, even with just 2 megapixels :)
