N93i on FCC's Site - Does This Make It Official?
by Darla Mack
The rumors have been floating around for quite some time now, and finally there is a slight bit of confirmation.
The N93i or whatever the mysterious model number will be has been added to the FCC. Internal and external images such as this one shown here are available.
The device has 4 mechanical modes: Fold closed for carrying, Fold open for traditional mobile phone use, Imaging for recording video and taking pictures, and View for viewing your images and videos. Whats interesting is the Fold closed mode. Remember that mirror-like cover that we've all been seeing? Apparently, when the fold is closed the cover display functions kind of like the Active Standby screen on S60 3rd edition devices.
The cover display provides clock and status information. On the standby mode display, the signal strength and battery indicators, time information, status indicators, and the name of the active profile (if other than General) may be shown. If you are using the music player to listen to a sound clip, volume bars and track information are displayed. Use the side scroll keys to play, pause, play the next/previous sound clip, and turn the volume up or down.
Like the N93, the N00 (in this case) features the same 3.2 megapixel Carl Zeiss lens with optical zoom.
