by Darla Mack

Mobile technology and content development company, ROK Entertainment Group, today announced it had licensed the Austin Powers film ‘International Man of Mystery’ to it’s growing portfolio of titles available on memory card for play on mobile phones.
ROK Player’s patented technology stores copy-protected audio-visual content on memory cards to play full-screen on mobile phones and are described as DVD's for the mobile phone with a simple plug and play application.
“This movie is a fantastic – some would say ‘groovy’ – addition to our library” said Jonathan Kendrick, Chairman and CEO of ROK “as we’re already seeing huge levels of interest in cult movies as well as for music video albums and TV comedies on ROK Player memory cards”.
ROK has licensed more than 100 major titles for it's content portfolio already to include BBC classic comedies such as Little Britain and The Office as well as SpongeBob Squarepants and South Park and other cult movies such as Shawshank Redemption. In addition, ROK has a growing library of music video albums.
More than 30 leading smartphones including Nokia’s range of Symbian handsets as well as Microsoft handsets are compatible with ROK Player technology.
Priced at £18.00 each the movie will be available for a short period of time exclusively online at www.rokplayer.com before being made available in selected high street phone shops in the UK and internationally.
"To be able to watch an entire movie on your mobile whenever and wherever you like without expensive downloads or over-the-air streaming is a real breakthrough in mobile entertainment" added Kendrick.

Darla,
How well does the playback work? I've never tried any of these, but would be willing to snag one to try on my 6681.
