FCC Approves Nokia E62

by Darla Mack

Nokia_e62 Engadget Mobile reports that the FCC has approved a "stripped down" version of the feature rich Nokia E61.  Why?

From what PhoneScoop reports, the Nokia E62 removes both 3G and Wi-Fi from the device but still includes both Bluetooth and IR.  The Pop-Port is also replaced by the standard mini USB and 2.5 mm headset jack which in my opinion is a good thing.  I can't stand Pop Port but can tolerate it.  The E62 also dons a slightly modified keyboard in order to include a "My Own" key.

Phonescoop also mentions that even though the E62 appears to run the same as the E61 it does not appear to have the email connectivity from Blackberry, Visto, Seven and others.
