The Mobile Diva Meets the Cell Phone King
by Darla
So far there have been many highlights of MWC, especially the happenings and developments around Nokia. But this was the BIGGEST BIGGEST highlight for me.
Keep in mind, that other than being a blogger I have been a fan of the company for many many many years. So when an an opportunity like this occurs its not abnormal for a person to suddenly become a bit star-struck and revert back to that childhood feeling of meeting Mickey Mouse for the first time. I mean face it... in the world of Nokia enthusiasts Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo IS The Cellphone King.
I also had the pleasure of being introduced to Anssi Vanjoki and had that same start-struck feeling. Although I must admit that on both occassions I couldn't muster up the nerve to ask for a photo op. Thanks Jeremiah!!!!!

You are welcome! It was almost as much of an honor taking that picture as it was scoring my own. I'm just glad that I got to share that opportunity with someone who understood. :)
James is apparently posting the video over at NokiaCreative.com of the encounter. I'm sure we look like fools- but I think maybe at least a few of your readers understand what an honor it was for us and the emotions of two very longtime and loyal Nokia fanboy(girl)s.

dear darla,
wowowowowoowow
do you remember at nokia world when we were in the audience in the front row...those two were already shining so bright.
what did you guys talk about?????????????
i'm so jeallous. i'd almost ask for a signature! hahhaaa!
in my own way, being an entrepeneur, i really cant imagine to run a huge world wide company like nokia. it's really big to concieve how to carry all that responsability. the macro meets the micro...how to remember all those people's names in your company, how to remember we are talking about people, and at the same time the corporation is an entity in itself. mindboggling. must be tuff.
the closest i've ever come to him was in a press room where i joked with him about how the first phone was mere hand luggage. :D
