The New and Improved Widsets!

by Darla

This morning I checked the Widsets site to see if things were in order yet.  True to the message that I received, the system was down in preparation of the new and improved things to come.

As of now, the new and improved Widsets is up and running!  The new site is more community focused where users can visit others profiles, see and share what content users subscribe to and bookmark, rate users and see what content others users subscribe to.  You can see my profile here.

The mobile client has also been updated as you can see by the image.  When you first login to your mobile client you will receive this message informing you to update.  Content that you already have will not be lost.

Congrats to the Widsets team on finally bringing their baby out of Beta!!!

Wish I knew how you got it to work. It absolutely died out on my N95, and I finally had to remove it. I had trouble installing it originally, and now it's the same thing all over again. Just can't get it to work any more.

I had a play around with the new site last night and created my own widget for my blog, but I can't seem to add an icon to allow it to be published. Noticed you have you own widget, does the image for the icon need to be a certain site?

I had Widsets right at the beginning and I liked it and used it daily. Then it just got so slow and it was a pain having widgets that had a lot of content missing and no way of clicking through to links. So, I just gave up on it. Opera Mini's RSS feed reader seemed to do a better job and a lot quicker.

Anyway, I thought I'd give the brand spanking new Widsets a go and I'm getting nothing but connection errors and screens constantly stuck on updating content. The feeds/widgets that do work don't seem to be displayed any differently than before. Am I missing something?

It is so slow to start, to download, to use on my N95 that I really miss the beta version.
Not improved at all.
