Nokia Search 4.0 Available for Download - Amazing Changes!
by Darla
Nokia has made their Search application 4.0 available to download for select S60 devices.
Although I'm a bit jealous that it isn't quite like that of the Nokia
N76 which puts the shortcut on the active standby screen, I am happy to
see such an improvement. Of course further improvement could be made
like for example, adding search for Lifeblog content and entries. As
mentioned by Ricky on Tommi's post, it would also be cool to see Google added as a search engine, but I'm not sure how possible that would be.
It is possible to change the region of search services by going to Options > Update. Currently, Yahoo and Live Search are available for the US, but I chose Yahoo because it includes the option to search images.
Nokia Search 4.0 is currently available for S60 3rd Edition FP1 devices such as N76, N95, E51, 5700, 6110, 6121, 6290.
*NOTE: You will need to uninstall all previous versions and plugins of Search before installing this version.

the best part about the old search program for me was the yellow pages feature. i am very disappointed that it is missing. the rest of the program is great on my n95-3, though. any word on when they will add this feature back?
