Finally, a Bluetooth Dongle for People on the Go

by Darla

One of the reason that I'm afraid of my BT dongle is because it just sticks our screaming for someone to bang into it.  But noticing that when my Nseries devices are connected via BT Windows recognizes them as both Smartphones and Cameras.  It makes using Adobe Photoshop Album Starter a breeze.

Mogodapter Speaking to a buddy of mine via IM I came across this amazing little gadget features on CrunchGear.  This is the solution to my problems!!

MoGo Dapter is finger-nail sized Bluetooth Adapter that plugs into any laptop or tablet USB port. The Dapter uses advanced technologies - Bluetooth standard v2.0 +EDR and USB 2.0 - to provide you with quicker connection times, enhanced voice and multimedia quality, greater Wi-Fi environments, and up to three-times-faster data-transfer speeds than v1.2 Adapters.

Unfortunately, it won't be available until this fall but I'm sure I can wait.

Or, you could move along on those thoughts about becoming a mac user and simply have bluetooth built into your laptop :-)

Seriously though, I am a big Nokia user and a big mac user... I have full support for everything my S60 phone can do. The only thing that I ever use windows for is updating firmware... it's the only reason I have windows installed (on my mac!).

Shoots... Chris beat me to teasing you about getting a Mac.

To be honest, when I got my first Mac laptop (had been using desktops since I was a kid), it was one of the things that impressed me. I'd broken a BT adaptor on my old Dell laptop, so the idea of one less peripheral sticking out the side felt good :)

Now if only good, responsive, multi-buttons, no-dongle bluetooth mice existed...

There are also some pcmcia bt adaptors that you could look at if you want an unobtrusive BT dongle.

but the best option is to get a mac. :D
