An Interesting Charging Solution for N95 Users
by Darla
At the S60 event in Chicago I learned some pretty interesting things about N95 users. For one, some carry an extra battery with them. Some were discussing the ages of old where the travel battery charger needs to be revamped for the N95's battery. And some have found a solution that actually costs less than purchasing an extra battery.
My buddy Alan, winner of the N95 at the NYC S60 event, showed me this little charger gadget by Energizer. The Energizer Energi to Go works with the N95 BUT you must have the CA-44 adapter because the current model does not support the smaller Nokia power plug.
Priced at $19.99, I think this is a nifty and small solution. And soon after seeing Alan's I did see that my buddy Matt had picked one up for his N73… not that the N73 would really need it. ;)
The Energizer Energi to Go works with Motorola and Samsung phones as well and can be found at places like Best Buy and Circuit City.

Even with the better battery life of the N73 taken dozens of pictures and uploading them can be rather taxing on the battery. In fact just yesterday I blogged about my use of this very thing! This charger is necessity for any mobile traveler in my opinion.

Considerably more expensive, but this Socket device can charge all your stuff...

It can carge all your gadgets, cellphones, cameras and more.
it will charge just about anything with a micro or standard usb port as long as it accepts charge from usb.
I have tried it out on a n95, ericsson something 600 a bluethoth headset, ipod (new one 80gb), bluethoth gps device.
It works perfectly!!!
And it is nice looking... :-)

I'm a big fan of the Proporta solution. I tend to charge it up while I'm in the car on the way to work, and it'll pretty much take care of the week's charging for my N95.

I just got this thing on your advice. I haven't used it yet, but I already lost one of my CA44 adapters because of a loose fit.
I have a solution for it though: using a razor, slice off 0.5mm of the rubber off the charging tip. The CA44 will stay in place. You can even hang the N95 from it.
