Firefox Looking Into Going Mobile

by Darla

I use Firefox on my laptop.  I have the Portable Firefox plugin stored to my jump drive which allows me to carry my favorite bookmarks with me to another machine.

People have said in the past that Mobile Firefox would be a cool thing to have.  I totally agree.

Not to take away from the S60 Web Browser which is cool, but could be enhanced a bit like being able to move or rearrange your bookmarks in alphabetical order and having the option in PC suite to save bookmarks for ALL S60 devices.  Having a mobile version of Firefox would just be the norm in able to switch from pc to mobile without affecting the content that you already have stored… providing that mobile plugins would also be developed.

In an article on APCMag, Dan Warne interviews Mozilla Foundation CEO Mitchell Baker on the subject.

While Opera is in the lead when it comes to Mobile Browsing (by brand name), could Firefox really take them on?

You should check out Google Browser Sync. Works great, and you wouldn't need the jump drive! If you need more N76 pics, let me know.
