Women in Mobile #17

by Darla

Back in 2005 I was proud to be one of the very first participant in a series of web-interviews by Rudy DeWaele of m-trends.org titled Woman in Mobile.  Yesterday I received an email stating that we have a new femme fatale in the mobile world to credit.  Unfortunately, I didn't post this yesterday because, well, I was off celebrating International Woman's Day!

Caroline_lewko_small Woman in Mobile # 17 celebrates Caroline Lewko of Wireless in Progress.  Here is a brief intro of Caroline taken from her site.

Caroline Lewko, CEO of the Wireless Industry Partnership (WIP), has spent more than ten years advising and funding over 100 wireless technology companies around the world. Caroline also founded the Wireless Innovation Network of British Columbia (WINBC) -- one of the first wireless trade associations in the world -- in 2001.

What a great way to celebrate IWD!!  Thanks Rudy and Caroline.

By the way, some typical male that I was chatting with yesterday (who shall remain nameless) alerted me that we had just celebrated Woman's day on February 14th.  Dude... it's soooo not the same thing, but you are fogiven! :)
