There Is No N81!

by Darla

When I checked the website for the Nokia Sports Tracker application, I did in fact see there was an N81 listed there amongst the compatible devices.  Didn't really think much of it until last night when JimH alerted me to the media hype.

We bloggers and site runners just look for a hint or glimpse of a device thats mistakenly mentioned (see here, here and here) and from that point we just take it and run with it.  Instead, I decided to just check with the sources.

It's been confirmed that the N81 thats listed as a compatible device is in fact supposed to be the Nokia N80IE.  Lol, hey we are all entitled to our typos, right?

Why would the developers of the Sports Tracker admit that there was indeed a Nokia N81?

dani

whats happened to your n95 review or have i missed its appearance please.

Darla

@Stefan, they didn't admit an existant of an N81, it was admited the N81 being there was a typo. It was supposed to be N80IE not N81.

@Dani, no you didn't miss the review. I had a preproduction model which was used for feedback and since it wasn't final firmware I decided not to post a review for fear of misrepresenting some of the buggy features. Don't worry, once I get a production model I will do a review.
