N800 Internet Tablet Update
by Darla
Nokia just released a new update (v3.2007.10-7) to the Internet Tablet OS 2007 for Nokia N800 owners. According to Jonathan Greene, the fix includes improvements and fixes for:
- Video and Flash performance and quality
- Bluetooth connection
- Browser stability
- Activating touch screen and keys lock
Being a phone geek I sort of panicked because I'm use to that helpful restore function on PC Suite. The Nokia Internet Tablet Updater doesn't have that function but it does remind you to back-up. Thanks to Jonathan's tip I did a successful back-up and restore once my N800 was updated. Lol, I really didn't want to lose that pink valentine's day theme.
One tip that I learned from InternetTabletTalk was to download the update itself and once the Updater starts just select "change" and search for the .bin file that was downloaded. To me that method was quicker.

Have you noticed any improvements with youtube video handling after the update?

Hi,
Thanks for all the help you have given me on your post. But i am at my wits end as to how to configure the email on the n800. I followed everything that I could find and now I have a message 'authentication to pop.gmail.com failed. Check email account server settings for Gmail Account.' What is this all about?
I wish someone can post something on how to configure this thing. It is so frustrating. By the way I have successfully upgraded my firmware.
Any help would be appreciated.
