Where Is Club Nokia USA?
by Darla
About 3-4 years ago Nokia USA at the requests of many users finally came out with Club Nokia for the states. I'm sure myself among many other Howard Forums members were the first to sign up. Only problem is that it didn't last too long, I don't think it made it a full year. But what happened to it?
I tried searching the forums to see if the thread that I started was still there but the only thing I came across was a thread from 2003 where I mentioned the reason why Club Nokia US was shut down. Just to let you know if you visit that post the links no longer work, except for the petition. Wow, 2003... thats a long time and still no sign of Club Nokia US returning.
Looking at the Club Nokia site for the UK I can see that its grown and changed a bit over the years. Before it was just a place for Nokia users to get exclusive content for their mobiles. Now it appears to be a more consumer inviting site where users can sign up to reap the rewards of membership.
Club Nokia Members get specials like 15% off of phone purchases, 25% off of software, prize packs, concert tickets and the opportunity to test pilot devices.
I do hope that Club Nokia does return to the US and areas where it is missing. Lol I still never downloaded my complimentary ringtone from when I first signed up!

I agree. I was a member way back when with my 7610 and then *poof* no more Club Nokia USA. It almost seems as if Nokia forgets they have a strong and loyal US following. I switched back to a N73 after two months with a SE K800i. I registered the phone on the Nseries US site, I'm wondering "for what" exactly? Something has to be in the works. I love the brand and I love S60.

Hi, I don't miss Club Nokia.. Didn't work for me. Always forget my login and password.
I am just thinking if it is time for Nokia to start connecting people(nokia users). They never put full force on Club Nokia because they were eating turnover fro operators. Now with the roll-out of their service strategy is seems to be the right time for the kill by starting a Nokia Community(social network). 100 million users connected through their mobiles. Powerful tool!!!
