What Happened to the Nx4?

by Darla

Did you notice that the Nseries went from N71 - N75 without having an N74?  Also the N91 - N95 and no N94?  Lol, its 6:30 am on Saturday morning and I haven't had coffee... but it made me wonder, what happened to the Nx4?

The number 4 is not used as 4 is seen as an unlucky number in some asian countries. (a big part of Nokia's market)
I don't think they bring out NX4 phone.

Darla

Thanks Jarek!! Seems like the answer to my question has been found :)

captainmicahp

Why did you say they started with the N71 and N91 instead of the N70 and N90?

Darla

@captainmicahp... Oops!!! Don't know really... but thanks for picking that up. I guess I just started at 1 instead of 0. :)

Jukka Eklund

There is at least one Nokia phone model with number 4 in recent history, name it? :)

Darla

Hey Jukka!!

Nokia did in fact have a 4xxx series back in 1993. The model was the p4000 and it was an analog brick. Do I win a prize? :)

Jukka Eklund

Hmm, I am looking for a more recent GSM model! :)

Darla

Jukka I think you have me on this one... ok I give in!!

In Chinese community, "4" and "death" are in the same voice, so it considers unfortune, just like 13 in western countries. There are many products in these market avoid using number 4 as the product numbers.

Jukka Eklund

Nokia 3410, haven't you seen that one?!
