Nokia PC Suite 6.82 Available

I mentioned hearing about a new pc suite in the works and as of yesterday its been made available.

Nokia PC Suite 6.82 incorporates a shortcut for the Software Updater so that everything is in one nice little package.

Although the Software Update feature is now available via PC Suite, you still have to download NSU and have it installed on your PC in order to use it.  Once I installed PC Suite 6.82 I uninstalled the separate NSU from my laptop and when I clicked the option in my PC Suite menu it took me to the NSU download page.  I am assuming that this is supposed to happen.

EDIT: It appears that the Connect to Internet in the new version does not have settings for Cingular Wireless so you would need to input the settings manually.  I hope there is a fix for this.

Dear Darla Mack,
I have a few problems with my new N73. Hope that you can help me.
1. My PC bluetooth cant read my N73 but can read other phones, even with PC suite on also cant read.

2. I can only use the usb data cable to transfer files from pc to n73. But under the installation files in pc suite, it cant read files in n73 but can install files from pc to n73 only. So i cant uninstall or delete any files from n73!

pls help!!!!

Nokia PC Suite 6.82 seems to have intentionally removed the cingular profile under the one touch connect to the internet. I'm rolling back!

1) I started with PC Suite installed
2) I plugged the phone in
3) Windows came up and said "New hardware found"
4) Instead of canceling the install thinking it was already done with install of PC Suite, I let the windows new hardware install go. I allowed windows to search the internet
5) After windows installed the phone, I went into "Connect to the Internet" and chose manual setting - I did NOT choose a network operator
6) I left Access Point, Username, Password all blank
7) I exited the setup wizard by clicking "next" and "finish" as applicable
8) I came back to the connect to the internet dialog and clicked "connect".
9) It worked. Don't know where it got the access point, username, password, or which network operator to use. I guess from the phone.
