Nokia E62 Update Available

Nokia E62 users will be happy to know that you can now update your firmware via Nokia's Phone Software Updater.

For some reason it appears on the UK site but not on the European site.  The best thing to do is download it and see if there is an available update. 

Remember to backup your phones memory to your memory card before installing the update.

UPDATE: As of May 20th 2007, I've been notified that phones offered by Cingular/AT&T have been requested to be removed from Nokia's Software Updater.  Please see post for more information.

Hey. I just went and downloaded the Nokia updater and selected to correct model for the installer, but for some reason when it starts to connect to phone , it says that the phone does not support the update. You have any advice? Because I just got this phone today and it's already frozen on me 6 times.

Hi Leah,

I recently did an updated post to this informing users that the E62 and N75 have been removed from the NSU as requested by Cingular/AT&T.

i bought a phone not knowing that the Nokia E62 phone was branded by Cingular..
i live in Canada and i had my original E62 stolen..
i have all the Rogers factory box information/disc n Cingular info also and was wondering how i can unbrand this stupid phone...

So is there no way to get an update on my e62 if I am a Cingular/AT&T customer? Are there no other websites that might have a copy of the file that I could download? My phone is having issues & I am not getting any help from AT&T, other than them trying to sell me a new phone. HELP!
