How To Use Nokia's PC Suite On A Mac
by Darla
Mac users looking for a way to use Nokia's PC Suite are in for a temporary solution, but I must warn... try this at your own risk!!
Mark at The Nokia Blog gives a detailed guide on the steps to take to get PC Suite running with through use of Parallels Desktop for Macs.
I'm sure Mac/Nokia users everywhere will be thrilled!!

This isn't new; I've been doing this on my Mac Mini for nearly 6 months!

Hi Darla,
why bother? I'm using iSync with the E61 plugin over BlueTooth, so I my Address Book and iCal are always up-to-date. What am I missing?
Regards,
Jochen

I am strictly older mac (PowerPC), but certainly don't want to have to pay for a license to Windows XP just so I can backup my Nokia phone in any case.
There should be a Mac native backup and restore for sure. My E60 repeatedly gets into such a hosed state, that it needs to be reset.
If you have XP I guess that's slightly less annoying, as you can back the phone up easily (including network settings).
Also, while I am griping at Nokia, why the heck don't they tell you the version of Nokia updater and fimware on the website? Common guys! Give us the info?
Please...

The purpose of using the Nokia PC Suite more than anything is the ability to install .sis and java apps on your phone directly from the computer. So much easier than using file transfer, installing then deleting files.
