Nokia E50 Mini-Preview
by Darla
The reason I call this a mini-preview is because I checked it out for about 5 minutes. One of the Nokia reps from Finland had it with him at the Nokia Store in NYC. If you are a fan of small phones and S60 then this is definately for you.
The E50 is the smallest of the S60 devices and is a member of the business class S60 family. Compared to the E60 and E61 the E50 has up to 70mb of internal memory. It also doesn't include WLAN or WCDMA but that doesn't take away from its size... at least not in my opinion.
Features of the E50 include:
- Built-in MP3/AAC player
- 1.3 megapixel camera
- Large, high-resolution screen is perfect for viewing documents, images, and Web pages
- Long battery life (up to 9 days standby and 6.8 hours talk time) means more time to talk
- User-friendly and intuitive interface
- Small, slim, and sleek design with stainless steel on the covers
- Support for leading push email clients, such as Nokia's Intellisync Wireless Email and BlackBerry Connect, gives easy access to emails
- XHTML browser for viewing Internet pages
- Fast data connections with EDGE
- Connectivity to compatible PCs and devices via infrared, Bluetooth wireless technology, and USB cable (I am so happy to see that they brought back infrared).
My first impression and reaction was that this is so tiny but something that I would love to have. I believe AllAboutSymbian is working on a full review so stay tuned.
