Adding Feed Url's The Easy Way
by Darla
With the new S60 browser with built in feed-reader that we are now using, it gets kind of frustrating copying feed urls to the phone. Fortunately there is the import OPML method, but if you don't have a long list of feeds there is an alternative.
On your pc or laptop open the notes section of Outlook. If you have synced your phone before you might see notes already in there. Open a new note and add the feed urls that you would like to add to the phone. Once done all you have to do is sync the phone via PC Suite and open the notes on the phone. The links are there in note format but once you go to options and find web address you can click the links and they will automatically load into the web reader.

Oh, good tip. Must try. Thanks!!

Darla,
i played around with the Nokia web feed function and found it pretty nice, but what always bugged me, was that i would read the feeds on the phone and then whenever i got back to my mac, i had to go through the same feeds again and figure out which ones i have read and which ones were new. Same problem when i was at work. I would read feeds on my work PC and when i got home, i had to go through them again on my mac. I finally found the solution...bloglines.com. It's an online RSS reader. Now all i do is surf to bloglines, log in, read my feeds and when i get home, i find myself at the same spot i was in my office, so no more reading feeds twice. Best thing is, bloglines has a mobile reader that you can read via your S60 browser. Now i'm happy since i never read a news feed twice ;-)
And...bloglines is FREE ! :-)
Try it.
Enjoy,
