T-Mobile Announces New Handsets at CTIA

by Darla

PCMag's coverage of CTIA 2006 informs that T-Mobile USA will be the first to get Motorola's new colored PEBLs which were announced last month.  The colored PEBLs have the same functions as the existing PEBL U6, a midrange cameraphone, and will cost about the same when they're released in mid-May. T-Mobile will also offer Motorola Bluetooth headsets in matching colors.

T-Mobile will introduce the Samsung SGH-T509 in May.  The slender T509 looks a lot like the slim Motorola SLVR L7 and has a similar feature set, though it's even thinner than the L7 and has a more conventional keypad.

And for the Nokia fans, the Nokia 8801 is said to be T-Mobile's "high-end" phone, priced under $500 but will be their most expensive handset offered.  The Nokia 8801 will be offered in June.

On April 17th T-Mobile will offer the Blackberry 8700g which is their version of Cingular's 8700c.

Ok, so thats pretty good news right?  Not enough to make up for the fact that April 2nd they changed their service agreements from 1-year to 2-years for new activations... but its a start.
