So Long Charlie

by Darla

For the past few weeks I've been contimplating getting a new phone.  Just when I had finally decided on the 6682 Nokia went and put it in "coming soon" status... and at this point, who really knows what that means.  Nokia says its temporarily out of stock because they sold like hotcakes when it was first listed.  Rumors tell a story of Cingular getting pissed off because they wanted to launch it first.  So, who the hell knows.

I finally decided to take that leap and have Charlie flashed to working firmware.  Mine still has that buggy firmware.  So, sometime tomorrow the Fed-Ex man will be at my door to whisk my Charlie away to iunlock.com.  In the meantime, I've decided to get some new accessories for when it comes back home.

Besides the new Pink housing and 512mb rsdv mmc that I've ordered, I've decided that since I won't be able to afford a N90 anytime soon, I would get the Nokia PD-2 Flash Attachment.

So, in the meantime, I will return to using my trusty Nokia 6600 (which is still running the software study on it anyway so I might as well use it) and impatiently wait for my revised Charlie to safely come back home. (sigh)
