Nokia Now Has 2 Year Warranty For European Market
by Darla
Now here's something interesting. Nokia - European Limited Warranty - Repair - Support.
Effective April 1, 2005 the Limited Manufacturer's Warranty for Nokia phones sold in the European Union, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey is now 24 months instead of 12. This is for handsets purchased April 1 and after. Handsets purchased prior will be covered under the previous warranty.
I think that makes sense especially with all the high tech models that have been announced. Wonder if this concept will ever see the light in the US?

Here in Romania in a national chain-store Nokia already gives 2 year warranty for some time now. I've got my Nokia from there and the phone, not the battery and the charget, has 2 years of warranty.

I think it would nice to have the same warranty here in the US... especially since we don't have the luxury of Nokia Service Points where we can just walk in and have our phones repaired.
